Are we KIDDING MY GOD. This book was even more insane than the last one. This book had me stressed, on the verge of tears for Stacey and Kade and everything they’ve lost, and so so angry at Bernadette and her sick husband, along with Chris who all three deserve the most unimaginably horrible endings known to man. We finally progressed through all the flashbacks of Stacey and Kade’s relationship as teenagers, and it truly is heartbreaking to watch the innocence and the wholesomeness of their love get twisted by all of those people around them. They’re compelling characters that you can’t help but root for. I enjoy that there’s layers to this story besides just being smutty, because at the end of the day, it’s a love story about two people trying to defy all the sick odds stacked up against them. I was SHOCKED how this ended, and I am so scared for Stacey it’s unreal, I hope Tobias makes his appearance next book and gives these antagonists what they rightfully deserve, and I hope Stacey and Kade can finally escape this hell they’ve been in and start to heal!
