This is a pretty good second volume, though I have to admit the humor wasn't as good as the first volume. Rather than witnessing Hana's biting sarcasm and deadpan snark, most of her humor comes from short inner monologues and yelling at Takane. Granted there are some legitimately funny moments in the volume, I miss Hana's trademark snark and quick wit. Also, there is some hypocrisy that I can't ignore. Later on in the manga, Hana gets mad at Takane and Nicola because they aren't being honest with each other and trying to fix their friendship. While I agree with Hana in this instance, early on in the manga she LIES to Takane about why she doesn't want to spend time with him because she doesn't want to lose her pride. I understand that Hana is a teenager and isn't the most self-aware person, but that really rubbed me the wrong way. I have to say, Takane's persistence and drive to make Hana happy more than made up for this and him openly admitting that he's willing to face the consequences of their relationship made my heart swell. I really do like their relationship and think they have good chemistry, but I hope the comedy doesn't suffer anymore as the series continues. Even if it does, as long as their relationship continues to grow, I think I'll be okay.
