Letter to His Father by Franz Kafka

3.0

3 stars because this feels like it never should have been seen by anyone but Kafka and his father. Ironically his father never saw it, but everyone who has ever read Kafka knows the depths of which his pain, related directly to the abuse at the hands of his father, extends through all his work. No matter your relationship with your own father, or whether you even have one at all, this is a very painful read and it’s a shame it was ever published.
