Found all of the characters to be frustrating at some point I'm the novel. I would also classify this as a reflective women's fiction piece moreso than romance. There are romantic elements but that didn't feel like the arc of the story.
I also felt like to female character was deeply flawed as well; she tried justifying many of her behaviors by her husband's initial actions. It was quite frustrating. Overall, I think the authors point was to show how flawed we are in love and in our platonic relationships. I deeply resonated with the aspects of motherhood. Overall I felt engaged in the audio and wanted to keep listening.
