Onyx Storm
by Rebecca Yarros
Trying to write this review feels impossible because my emotions are in complete chaos. I’m angry, I’m satisfied, I’m in love, and I’m grieving—all at once. I have no idea where we go from here. Sure, there are plenty of problems to solve (seriously, so many), but knowing fantasy, the battles are only going to get bigger and bloodier as the series continues.
That said, book three delivers the most epic battle I’ve ever read in a third installment. It’s hard to imagine how anything could top this. Where do we go from here? You have to bring us down to breathe, right? But there are at least two more books to go, and the suspense is excruciating. I’ve officially decided Rebecca Yarros is a sadist.
Also…did she actually solve any problems in this book, or did she just pile on more chaos? I’m trying to remember any loose ends that were tied up, but I’m drawing a blank.
Oh, and one last thing—WHAT did Violet and Mira’s grandmother tell Mira?! I need answers. Now.
