Maybe This Time by Jennifer Crusie

3.0

Read this in an afternoon - it's a very quick read. It had Crusie's trademark wit and dialogue, which was great, and I enjoyed the romance, but there were a couple of things that bumped the rating down for me (spoilers!)

One, the soon-to-be-ex fiance seemed perfectly nice, and a good guy, and then suddenly wasn't. I was missing a bit of continuity there. Two, there were 2 kids, who had both experienced trauma, but the lead character (and therefore the author) focused all her energy on the girl, who was the youngest. Another character called the main character out on this, but it was still annoying. And three, I was tired of the ghosts when it got to the point where everyone basically had to believe in them.

Which makes it sound like I didn't like the book, and I did! I was just a bit annoyed by the time I hit the end.
