Ughhh I’m late to the game on this one. While there are a lot of parts of Lily the FMC I have personally relatability to, I found the ending a bit cheap. It felt like the author needed a way to wrap this up into a neat little bow and come full circle on, but that felt really unrealistic after everything. And don’t get me started on the epilogue… she ends up with the guy who groomed her and whom she trauma bonded with in high school…
Also, I understand that this ties to a personal story for the author, and I am glad resources were included in the end for those experiencing DV.
