Upping this to 5 stars on my second read because I’ve decided it’s one of my favorite Agatha Christies. The verbal play, the atmospheric initial setup, Poirot being peak Poirot (without Hastings around to kill the buzz) — all just so good!
Also, I remember the river scene so vividly from my first read that I completely forgot that there was any other reveal to come. So I was surprised. Again. Great job AC!
