The Queen
by Kiera Cass
Okay, if anybody reads this and immediately thinks this is what love is, what a relationship should be... then we have some serious issues.
This was not a depiction of love. This is a depiction of an abusive relationship.
Amberley was purely chosen because she was willing to follow every single damn order Clarkson laid out - he wants you to keep a secret? you don't tell a soul, he wants you to cut your hair? you chop almost a foot off.
Also, can we talk about how much of an ass Clarkson is?
I mean the girl is sick because of the horrible conditions in her caste (which btw, Mr.follow the law all the time, is kind of what you have been allowing to happen), and you look at her all disgusted. She just found out that she can't have kids when she really wants them, and you tell her to forget about it and act like she's supposed to be, all proper and prim.
Anyway, this kind of reminded me why I dislike this series with a passion. I'm glad it was so short, because I don't know how much more I could've taken.

"If I ask you for something, you give it to me. You aren’t vain. You’re secure enough with yourself to put me before your looks, before anything. I know that from how you receive any request I’ve ever given you."
