Manga Classics: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

5.0

What an absolutely fantastic book! I honestly didn’t expect to like it this much, especially considering that it’s a classic. This book did everything for me—from the characters and writing style to the entire plot line, I was thoroughly impressed.

Brontë has a beautiful, elegant writing style that flows really nicely. I found myself constantly wanting to read more of it. The audibook that I listened to was narrated by Flo Gibson, who did an amazing job at conveying the emotion in each of the character’s voices.

The age gap made me uncomfortable at the beginning, but I got used to it the further I read. I loved all of the interactions between Mr. Rochester and Jane, especially when he dressed up as a fortune teller! I genuinely have no criticisms for this book, which is extremely rare. I enjoyed every single aspect of this book, and I would even reconsider re-reading it sometime in the future.
