This story follows Lacey, a pediatrician, and her best friend, Shawn, a well-known head coach for the NFL’s DC Titans. Lacey decides to bring a date to one of the games, but during a break, the kiss cam catches them, leading to an uncomfortable moment. When Shawn looks up and sees Lacey, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Can these best friends turn into lovers?

What a fantastic read! These two characters are so much fun. The tension, chemistry, banter, and flirty behavior are perfection. The way they look at and truly see each other is beautiful. This was such a feel-good read about two close friends trying to understand and navigate their growing feelings for each other. The spice was delicious and intimate. I will say it’s more character-driven, but I honestly didn’t mind. I also recommend the audiobook if you’re thinking of picking it up!
