Firekeeper's Daughter
by Angeline Boulley
Fantastic read. The first few chapters were harder to get into because they set the stage for the whole book. Once you got past those it all clicked into place and I didn’t want to put this book down. Great twists and turns. Educational about the awful gut wrenching realities and hardships native women face. It’s so important to learn about the inequalities and abuse that happens so that it can no longer be ignored. Loved the way I learned things throughout the book with educational facts and stories artfully weaved in. This book was a thrill to read mixed with a bit of romance.
