A quick, easy tongue in cheek read. I liked this contemporary twist on the story of Aladdin and found the characters warm and vulnerable. I liked everything that other reviewers disliked, the predictability, the totally improbable plot, the play on names - Ladden, Jasmine and Gene. Altogether, a fun, feel good book which I devoured in one sitting.
