Let Your Mind Run: A Memoir of Thinking My Way to Victory by Deena Kastor, Michelle Hamilton

5.0

This woman and her book have grit and depth. She could have used her talent and privilege to coast through high school and college running and fall into whatever career came most easily. Instead, she pushed her body and mind to her full potential and had the generosity to share how she did it. Whatever dream you’re chasing, Deena is likely to have insights that will stoke your drive and commitment. Her story isn’t as simple as “think positive, get results.” I walked away from the read with real-world, usable advice. To the readers who call the book a catalogue of her races, each one intrigued me as a recreational runner and serious writer.
