This is the first book in the Toronto Terror series and I loved getting to know Rix and Tristan. Rix is smart and independent where Tristan is good looking and athletic but can be a bit of a an a-hole. The banter between the two makes the story great especially when the spice starts spicing. Even with their love/hate relationship, Rix and Tristan both realize their feelings are so much deeper yet their emotional baggage holds them back. I felt like the theme of mental health, child neglect, and financial stress was described so well and still kept the story light.
