This book follows a young tween girl named Dizzy who lives with her dad. Dizzy yearns for a relationship with her mother, Storm, who has been an absentee parent since Dizzy was a baby. When Storm waltzes back into Dizzy's life, Dizzy jumps at the chance to reconnect. The two go on a road trip consisting of communes, hippies, outdoor festivals, dirty fingernails, and fun. Along the journey, Dizzy meets some interesting people. Overall, I feel aloof towards this book. I didn't connect with the characters or story. Cathy Cassidy's other books are better.
Graphic: Fire/Fire injury, Abandonment
Moderate: Drug use
