Well, things really went to crap in this book. Honestly, I NEVER thought it would go as far as the wards coming down AND Mac getting raped by 3/4ths of the Four Horsemen AND the Lord Master essentially owning her. It's like how on Earth is Mac going to recover from this and will anyone be able to help her? Will she even be able to save herself?
Finally, I still want to know who Barrons is. I have been theorizing he is a member of Fae royalty (I mean didn't things started getting "icy" around him later in the book? I could have sworn that happened a couple of times in passing. And that's something that happens around V'Lane when he's pissed off. So if Barrons is doing it too, that has to be a very powerful Fae thing). I think it's fair to say that the UnSeelie King theory could be true, but I also thought (and later saw that Mac also did in her journal), that he could be some kind of Seelie/UnSeelie hybrid. I really, really hope we find out soon.
I have been getting the books from the library, but there's a wait on Book 4 and I'm tempted to just buy it to see what happens next.
