ummmm so im interested in seeing what happens, for sure, but also the characterization of Joslyn as a “desert woman” felt icky a lot of the time. I’m not sure that the author was really able to have critique of the way people treated Joslyn come out in the way she may have intended. Tasia definitely condemns the racism and xenophobia leveled at Josyln but also takes part in fetishizing her and her past as an enslaved woman.
