I am a HUGE Louise Penny fan. She is a hugely talented, literary crime writer who combines deep character development with murder mystery. How sad that she is going down the same route of  aso many crime/murder mystery writers in that storylines veer more and more towards terrorist/conspiracy plots instead of actual crime/murder storytelling. I don't read her wonderful prose to be reminded or immersed in huge political or societal problems.Quite the contrary , I DO seek escape from those very things . Please Louise, let's have crimes solved by the wonderful three pines characters....not plots that barely mention them and just remind me how awfully frightening the world is .Sign me : disappointed literary fan .
