It's like the Room but with a family and a thousand more plot twists. Just when you think you know what's going on *figurative slap* That's the best way I can explain it because while the writing is wonderful and there are some truly beautiful lines, it's a highly spoilable book whose major strength is in the process of discovery.

The book is brilliant, and the performer of this particular audiobook has me addicted to the medium. I highly recommend it.
