The Penitent by Natasha Knight, A. Zavarelli

5.0

The gripping conclusion to Azrael and Willow’s story had me gripped from start to finish.
The book picks up where The Tithing leaves off. The kidnapping of Willow, Raven and Bec.
I could not read fast enough to get to the next page. I was so consumed with everything going on.
And needing to know the outcome. I was invested in mostly all the characters and their wellbeing.
So much suspense happening and my nerves were a freaking mess throughout the book.
I could feel the darkness and evil being described by these two very talented authors.
The descriptions were so vivid and detailed oriented that the words came to life off the pages.
I could feel the creepiness of the manor. I could feel the evil and the stench coming from the vile characters. The writing was that outstanding.
The story is fast paced, filled with drama and action.
The lust and passion from Azrael and Willow burn up the pages. It’s hot and sexy.
I also loved the bit of magic and supernatural and mystery that pops up.
The feeling of someone from above watching over this amazing couple warmed my soul.
I absolutely believe in guardian angels looking out for us, so I adored this aspect of the story.
Ms. Zavarelli and Ms. Knight absolutely did justice to the conclusion of Willow and Azrael’s story.
They perfectly blended danger, violence and betrayal. With love, compassion and beautiful promises.
