Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward

I thought Rhage was a shallow, Love-em-and-leave-em kind of guy. After all, his nickname is Hollywood. But as the story develops, you learn that there is a lot more to him that just casual sex. There was tenderness between Mary and Rhage and they genuinely care about each other's well being. In a way, they healed each other or at least soothed the beast within. A cute scene was when Rhage told Mary to talk to him, just say anything. So Mary began saying "Anything" in lots of different ways, it was just amusing and touching.
This story was a great follow up to Dark Lover as Ward gives us insight into another Black Dagger Brother. It was a page turner and like I have said, it is nice to see strong men publicly show their affection for their women.
What I loved about the first 4 books is that they really focused on the main characters and developing them well. As the series moves along, there is a lot of attention devoted to the non-main Hero & Heroine. Hopefully Ward will get back on track in that department.
