The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood
5.0
It has been a long time from when I read The Handmaid's Tale and I was hoping to get the same buzz from this novel. I can honestly tell you I was not disappointed. The Heart Goes Last is a novel focused again on this idea of a utopia of sorts with a secret sexual undertone. The idea that the outside world is a mess and that within the walls of the compound a person may be able to find relief.
It is Margaret Atwood at her best and the twist at the end is worth the whole journey.
