If I could give this book a zero star rating, I would. This book is so bad I wish I could set it on fire.
Both of the main characters are absolutely awful. There is no chemistry in this book. They are only sexually attracted to each other. I don't even know if they like the other person. I guess if you like reading a bunch of sex scenes without a plot than this is the perfect book for you. I hate reading sex scenes, so I ended up skipping over wayyyy too many pages for this to not even be the first half of the book.
And it's not just the fact that the characters were only sexually attracted to each other. The MMC absolutely sucks. His only personality trait is "being in love" with the FMC (and I use the phrase "being in love" very lightly). The only 2 things this man has thought in the past 100 pages is that:
1) He's broke and can't afford to financially support Abby (the FMC) which is the dumbest thing ever because this dude literally owns a business that's doing really well. Dude you're fine. Get over yourself. Stop being insecure.
2) This guy only has dirty, nasty, disgusting, repulsive thoughts about Abby to the point where I think he only saw Abby as a piece of meat. I don't think he actually understood that she was her own person. He was also weirdly controlling about everything down to the types of shoes she wore. Dude. Back off.
I hate the way that Abby's only 2 traits were A) being a busy business women who's very overworked and has to run a whole massive company by herself and B) she's this little innocent virgin who never does anything wrong (and yes, this book focuses a lot on her virginity to a creepy amount).
I'm honestly shocked that this got approved by a team of editors. I'm honestly mind blown. I have no clue why this book has anything above a 2 star rating. I'm convinced I've read a different book with the same title, because there is no way people are actually enjoying this book.
I'm so dumb for judging this book by its cover. I have to stop doing that. Please to God don't read this book. You will regret it.
