I have struggled how to rate this book. I really liked it but didn't love it.
It is very well written, with an interesting plot and well developed characters. I enjoyed reading it but it isn't a 'page turner' that kept me totally engrossed.
As a white, cis-gender, straight woman, I want to name my privilege. This book is about a different culture and world then I am familiar with.
Having said all that, I recommend this book as a way to engage in a life and world that many of us 'white people' don't get an opportunity to see.
