i’m so glad i’ve finally finished this series. basically binged it but boo man boo… it’s just very okay. would be awesome for teens tho! (the intended audience)

something this book made me realise i HATED, was the lazy way of introducing something that’s meant to hold relevance to us as the reader. the only example i can think of right now is the glass unicorn. she’s so in love with conrad that she seeks out a glass unicorn that’s soooo important and makes her think of him. does the audience know what this is? no! but you know what’s an easy way of introducing something? just do a flash back in the next chapter! like… it holds no weight to me that she’s grabbing this unicorn if it wasn’t even important enough to note at any point in all 3 of the books. i know I’m being very critical and petty, but ugh did i hate it.

i think jenny han is an ICON, but i find her writing style to be lacking a little. without getting into spoilers… the ending… 😐
