Barely Functional Adult: It'll All Make Sense Eventually by Meichi Ng

4.0

Barely Functional Adult is part short story collection and part graphic novel. Meichi Ng's highly successful and scarily relatable four color comics, featuring a gender neutral swaddled character, which initially started as a webseries found over at @barelyfunctionaladult are now available in a beautiful book! Covering an array of topics from therapy and imposter syndrome, to first loves and how to let go of your exes, this debut features all new, and excellent comics. This book is such an easy read for those of you who have struggled with reading lately like me. The stories are short and standalone so it's easy to come back to at any time. Meichi Ng will have you laughing and crying and sending quotes to friends with every little essay in the book. Ng somehow perfectly encapsulates that little doubt inside all of us and reassures us that in fact, we are never alone.
