I bought this book because I loved the storytelling style of email/text chains, and it was short and looked fun. This story isn’t too deep, but it’s entertaining and it keeps you on your toes. It’s a lot of mundane conversations, which I liked, and there are some great twists near the end. Weirdly enough, the one thing I consistently didn’t like were the text messages between the two detectives. They weren’t distinguishable from each other and they only served to remind the audience about the state of the story at any given time. Overall, though, this was a very fun read!
