It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey

2.5

This book had a lot of potential, but it felt very surface level. It had all the makings to have deeper characters and have the setting be a character and really delve into some of these complex storylines, but didn’t really go deep enough to make the story very rewarding. There were some cute aspects and it was a quick read, but I just didn’t like it very much. I found myself rolling my eyes or gagging a lot, and I didn’t think the main character’s relationship was very healthy.
