This was the first book outside of romance or fantasy that I read (that also wasn’t assigned) and it really changed my perception on life.
The midnight library is a place between life and death where you can make the choice to enter all your parallel lives that you’ve lived by making different choices.
It forces Nora to reflect on her whole life, all her choices and how they’ve affected her and the people around her.
When I finished the book I started to reflect on my own life. Nora’s experiences really put things into perspective for me. I couldn’t stop thinking about it after reading it. It was just so beautifully written with the way it addresses Nora’s struggles and experiences. This is a book I think everyone should read. It’s about regrets, unfinished business, insecurities, depression, losing passions and faith in humanity and overcoming all of that. And I think those things are something that everyone experiences at least once. It was heart breaking, inspiring, and awakening.
