Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

4/5****

This was a pretty enjoyable read and I don't have a lot to say about it in terms of obstacles.

The characters were - as always - charming and very well constructed - and in the case of a certain group of characters so incredibly realistic hat I wanted to be sick because I hated them so so much.

Sorry.

I won't say much about the plot. Or anything at all actually because I want this to be spoiler-free.

But I'll say that much: The first half of the book was pure and desperate despair on my part. Not because it was bad but because where the plot was going. I was about 30% through when I desperately wanted it to end because in the end it will be good again and everyone is safe, won't it? But I knew I had the other 70% still to read and was completely broken because of all the bad stuff that was still bound to happen.

To anyone who's thinking to start the Chronicles but doesn't know how or where I would strongly advise you not to start with this series. There are so many snippets and connections and this story is so much emmersed - which I as a publication-order-reader very much appreciate - but it is also filled with so many spoilers for the other books, better stay clear of it for the beginning.

But except the drowning horror of soul-deep despair and the a little tiny bit weaker ending (in comparison to the other book) I totally recommend this book - this series - oh who am I kidding the whole Chronicles.

Read please and suffer with me.

Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again.
