I don’t know if I was the target audience for this book. I read it so I could learn a little about the Morgan Library, but the book had no plot, the storyline followed the librarian for JP Morgan while he was alive and then he dies and she’s the librarian for his son. There just wasn’t anything that really pulled me in or kept me intrigued in the story. The idea of her hiding her racial identity was a sub-plot and she ends up never coming clean. She never has any true romantic partners. She weirdly tried to flirt with JP Morgan who was 40 years older than her. It was just a story that was told and never really went anywhere in my opinion. The narrator also sounded 30 years older than the 27 year old FMC and that threw me off.
