Danny Phantom: A Glitch in Time by Gabriela Epstein
5.0
This represents a hostile takeover of the Danny Phantom canon by fans and for fans, and I'm low-key obsessed with it. I loved the show in high school to a fanatic level (as an adult... it doesn't hold up, I'm afraid) and seeing a lot of the more contentious developments from the show's late years being explicitly thrown out for a new continuity made my heart soar. It's hard to explain what's so good about this without launching into a dissertation on the show and the weird relationship its fandom has with it, so I'll just say: it's a wonderful new start for longtime fans, and if you've ever been Phantom-curious, it's a great place to jump in without dredging up the old show. The last dozen pages do work to set up a comic continuity unbound by the show's contentious third season, and I see a great deal of potential for more stories in that continuity. I hope we see more! I need it to feed my inner child.
