This book was recommended as a match for the movie Quest for Camelot in terms of story and heart, and honestly it was that and so much more.

. I can see why everyone adores the Dust Wife in the reviews, because I too aspire to be that level of unbothered in old age — and to also possess an equally fearsome devil chicken if the situation calls for it.

I adore Marra and her ragtag crew of misfits. The found family aspect was really sweet, as was the subtle romance that was built up between Fenris and Marra (ugh they're adorable).

This story doesn't so much as end as it does slowly wind down, with everyone having changed but finding comfort in who they now are.
