The Girl in the Ice by Robert Bryndza
2.0

A battle of the classes topped with vicious violence, juicy sex and cheap drama, featuring a detective who makes a habit out of barging in on funerals (!) of victims (!!) to question the next of kin (!!!), and a murderer who, ugh, also chases said detective around. An exhausted plot element that, in general, kills any sense of realism. It doesn't do this thriller any good either. Not the only development that had me shaking my head in disbelief. At some point it felt like nothing more than modern day pulp to me. Of a writer who really wants it to become a film. If so, please make it as trashy and sleazy as possible. That could work. And rewrite Superintendent Marsh, because the way he handles his staff; sheesh. A clusterfuck in the flesh. Wait, no, nevermind. That could work as well.
