I started this book a year or so ago and it was too slow for me at that time, so I put it down. But after seeing a lot of videos about it on TT and IG, I decided I needed to pick it up back up again and OMG I’m so glad I did! It was still slow in the beginning for my tastes, but once it got rolling, it was ROLLING. This book does an excellent job of dissecting microaggressions and racism and just how deeply chattel slavery affects us to this day. It was just such a phenomenal book!
