the first 60% was alright but then it dragged on forever. Sage was annoying to me. she actively chose to struggle when she could’ve gotten help from her uncle. she had a choice to have a better life. yes I understand it’s great to be independent but once Elias decided to help her, she readily accepted his help. she only had a brief moment of not wanting help. She was quick to give up on things when she did not get her way. with the whole swan dance thing, she immediately lost her confidence over one incident. I wanted her to grow up. yea she had that “redemption” moment but it fell flat. As for Elias, he was boring. there was nothing interesting about him as an individual. He did not have a personality outside of Sage. He was like every other service type bf. He just did everything for her and did not have problems outside of her except for his daddy issues. Even then I felt like the author did not explore the depth of his daddy issues. Idk I just did not find either character interesting. the storyline was boring as fuck. they weren’t even fake dating. He called her his girlfriend the entire time and they basically were a couple from the gecko. It was a bore!!!
