I feel a lot of different ways about this book. Tibby’s portion of the book was so incredibly profound. It was such an amazing idea and so well executed. Carmen’s plot was also alright. There were times where it was really strong and times where it felt phoned in. I’m still kinda pissed at her dad though. I will say the whole thing at the end with her step brother almost ruined her whole plot line for me. Then there Bee and Lena. Both of their plot lines felt like after thoughts. They were so boy centric and I feel like I don’t know either of them as characters whatsoever. They were so poorly developed, especially Lena. Also those pants needed to be washed, I could not stop thinking about how bad they must smell by now.
If this book was entirely Tibby’s POV 5 stars. But with the others stories added in, 3/5 stars.
