A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

1.0

Honestly if I could note 0,5 i would do it without hesitation.
Omg this is the worst book i've read this year i think.
First, when i've seen the cover i was kinda interesting, they said it was a "Cloud Atlas meets Orphan Black" and i love both movie/tv shows but let me clear some things :
- This is an insult for Cloud Atlas and the Wachowskis.
- This is an insult for Orphan Black.
- This is an insult for Star Wars (okay now you know Claudia Gray is going to write The Force Awakens tie-in.)
There is absolutely NO PLOT but when i say no plot, i mean really, no plot. Nothing happens, the actions are slow, there's nothing captivating. Marguerite Caine is a poor naive and stupid main character seriously and oh hell she's different, you're perfect blablablah
Spoilershe's like the choosen one you're not like the others...
meh this kind of things is starting to annoying me.
And what's the surprise, love parallelogram, no really what's the point in this interdimensional love ? I didn't even get it, this is almost 80% of the story and the more boring it was, the more i read this book at night before i sleep how soporific it is.
Can we talk about Paul and Theo ? No it's a waste of time because there's no character developement.
This is poorly written, Marguerite POV wasn't the most interesting for the story, she's an silly and marysue character. I feel like i read this book but I waste my time..
The first book of the firebird series could have been much better if Claudia Gray didn't focused her story on a boring love story instead of the real plot with interesting scenes.
First and last time i read one of her books. (well i'll give a try for the star wars tie-in because i'm a star wars obsessed girl but still)
