The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
by Agatha Christie
mysterious
tense
medium-paced
This was my first ever Agatha Christie mystery. I loved it. I had previously avoided her books because I thought they would be too dated. Not so. Her use of language is impressive. She was quite a wordsmith. (I got a lot of use out of my dictionary with this one. I love to learn new words.)
I didn't see the solution coming. It was a great twist. It is a light, easy read. What a refreshing change from the heavy mystery thrillers I usually read.
