I had tried reading this a long time ago at the height of zombie media relevancy. I was a big fan of the Resident Evil games in the 90s and then the movies as those started coming out, The Night of the Living Dead (both the original and the 1990 remake), The Walking Dead, etc. I remember next to nothing of my thoughts back then besides I found it boring and never finished it. This time, I found it surprisingly good! Obviously very well thought-out and researched (so much so that I guess some people thought it was not fiction?). There’s a lot of advice in it that (minus the zombies, naturally) would be applicable to survival in some sort of catastrophe today. I think good ol’ fashioned zombies deserve a comeback in the literature world.
