The Patron Saint of Butterflies
by Cecilia Galante
What a lovely story. I was afraid that the abuse in it would be hard for me to read about, and it was, but I was so caught up in the story and wanting to know what happened to the children, that I could not stop reading it once I got into it. I like the contrast between Agnes and Honey and could relate to each in some way. The title is a clever way to tie the two girls together as well. I will definitely be recommending this one to others, including my students.
