The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
4.0
It seems like I have been waiting forever to read this novel...it was definitely worth the wait! When 16-year old Mara Dyer wakes up in the hospital, she is unable to remember the series of events that landed her there. All she knows is that her best friend is dead and she is alive after a terrible accident occurs. Faced with PSTD, her family decides to move from Rhode Island to Florida, hoping that a fresh start will do everyone good. As the new girl in a wealthy private school, the first person she meets will change her life forever. Noah Shaw, a gorgeous and brilliant boy, seems to be everywhere, and Mara cannot help, but be attracted to him. However, first she must deal with her hallucinations; she sees her dead friends everywhere, and she is terrified. This book was excellent--my rating should be 4.5 stars!
