The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

4.0

4.5 / 5 Stars

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was a nostalgic, sweet, wholesome story of adventure, family, and faith.

C.S. Lewis transported me through the wardrobe into the magical world of Narnia, and I was captivated. He masterfully wove Biblical themes and narrative into a beautifully written fantasy novel.

(I did deduct a 0.5 star because I noticed some antiquated views of females - ie, that they cannot and should not be in battle. Additionally, the writting was quite simple - but this is, after all, a children's novel.)
