I'm still having trouble getting into Green Lantern at the right time. I try taking advice from bloggers and from my husband but I'm still always confused when I pick up a volume of Green Lantern. There is just way too much backstory in the Green Lantern universe for a noob. Sigh...
Even though I was thoroughly confused at the beginning of this I did find myself really enjoying the story even though I felt like I'd missed a ton of stuff. I was really grateful that I read the introduction so that I knew a little bit about what was going on. I really like Hal Jordan's character. I like how assey he is. But it was interesting to sort of see him beat down by Parallax and the Spectre and better yet seeing him overcome it.
You guys know Batman is my fav, right? Well Batman was a jerk in this and I was happy to see him socked in the face by Hal Jordan. It was awesome.
