Irresistible You by Kate Meader
4.0
This is now the third book I have read from [a:Kate Meader|6551743|Kate Meader|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1484883798p2/6551743.jpg] and I can confidently confirm that I will not end with the Chicago Rebels series. I started with [b:Good Guy|198707493|Good Guy (Rookie Rebels, #1)|Kate Meader|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1694505514l/198707493._SY75_.jpg|69885799] from the Rookie Rebel's series and I now want to read all the Chicago series that Kate has.
As I started with [b:Good Guy|198707493|Good Guy (Rookie Rebels, #1)|Kate Meader|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1694505514l/198707493._SY75_.jpg|69885799], I already knew that The Chicago Rebels were managed by 3 sisters, a franchise left to them by their a$$hat father, and that their relationship was strained when Harper, Isobel, and Violet took over. I loved diving into the full story in this series. Harper is wise beyond her years. The first child to a man who wanted a son and a future athlete. Unfortunately, she was neither but she was the first heir, and therefore the twinkle in Clifford Chase's eye until he decided to start a new family. Harper was left to pick up the pieces of her broken mother, build a relationship with her new family, and prove her worth. It's a lot of pressure on a person. It's no surprise that Harper is guarded with her heart and protective of her image in a male-dominated industry. However, I appreciated how she stepped up to the plate and took leadership of the organization, she stepped into the role of eldest sister and tried to create a bond between the three of them, and she trusted her sisters to share vulnerable memories from her past.
Remy is at the end of his career and has the final opportunity to achieve his hockey dreams. It's now or never. Understandably, he wants to be selfish with his team choices and select the best opportunities, but he is a good guy to everyone, and in the end, he puts his heart before his ambition. Remy is confident in who he is, in his athletic ability, his cooking, the love he has for his family, and his friendships. Remy is the perfect fit for Harper. He helps her let go and be less uptight.
I enjoyed this read. While it was still spice, it wasn't as intense as [b:In Skates Trouble|34114099|In Skates Trouble (Chicago Rebels, #0.5)|Kate Meader|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1486223714l/34114099._SY75_.jpg|55142863]. I assume that is because this is a full-length novel, which allowed time for the relationship to fully develop instead of being led by physical attraction and lust first. With that said, there is plenty of lust.
