I think this is a cracking star wars series. This new book leads us right up to a new hope and helps to set some of the background for how Han ended up exactly where he did in the new trilogy. 

It might have been nice to spend a bit more time on

Han winning the falcon

but it was still cool to see it. 

I also very much enjoyed seeing the different interactions between the hutts in this series. That was one of the highlights for me.
