(full review coming but my quick thoughts for now):
This had a fun and promising start, but when it turned into insta-love it brought dialogue that felt too immature for the leads (especially the male lead), too many pop culture references, and a quirky ~not like the other girls~ female lead that was less charming and more exasperating. It reminded me of The Fine Print, which I’m not a big fan of but it’s quirky female lead was really likable. I did not feel the same here.
I started skimming after the 72% mark which is why this isn’t at a solid 2 stars. I wanted to be fair because perhaps that last 30% was thoroughly good, but at that point, I couldn’t find it in me to care.
