The footnotes and narrators voice is hilarious and a great addition. Sometimes I feel footnotes can get annoying but these just fit in perfectly. Bran is such a golden retriever, he’s like the one character questioning why everyone is singing in a musical - especially as he gains more self confidence and grows into himself in the third book.
Finn is the beautiful cat that is very possessive over the golden retriever, but I’m not too sure what that makes Pax… insane chihuahua? Actually I take that back I don’t want to risk her wrath even through the pages of a book.
All of these books are like soul fables. They are perfect hilarity fantasy. They feel cozy whilst also having a drunkard pixy, and most importantly show how no one needs perfect endings.
