Did not finish book. Stopped at 6%.
I'm the problem here, not the book!
From what little I have read, it's obvious that this is really good, well thought out scifi / scifi-horror. The writing flows well, the story is captivating and the characters seem to be relatable.
But it was the horror aspect that made me throw in the towel (for the foreseeable future). The whole vibe is despair and a constant humming of base-level fear and while that is masterfully done, it is just not something I can deal with right now.
The book is going on to my long term TBR.
